Centre thickness gauge for optical lenses

Catalog

Centre thickness gauge VP 30194

The centre thickness gauge VP 30194 with central clamping mechanism aligns the circular optical lens under test centrally to two pneumatically activated tactile probes. Within the flick of an eye it then measures the centre thickness of the lens with highest accuracy. Precise knowledge of the centre thickness of an optical lens is required whenever the lens is supposed to be mounted in an optical assembly such as a precision objective where sticking to design tolerances is crucial for achievement of best possible imaging quality. This measuring device has been designed to measure the centre thickness of optical lenses that have been centred already.

The diameter of the central clamp can be preset to simplify subsequent measurement of several lenses of the same type.

Schneider-Kreuznach’s centre thickness gauge VP 30194 consists of a robust measuring unit, a separate display, and a control panel for activation of the tactile probes and for fine adjustment of compressed air supply to these probes. The instrument also comes with a reference plate for calibration of the centre thickness gauge.
